From Sydney to Orlando, from 2023 to 2024, time and place changed, but our passion for the IEEE EMBC and our love for BME remain constant. This time, we presented three works through poster presentations by my dear partner Ruiqi Yong.
At ICIRA, we delivered an oral presentation, showcased a poster, and published a full-length paper, with me being the first author. In the vision robot recognition competition (undergraduate), our group successfully implemented robot autonomous line patrol, color recognition, and autonomous shooting functions using advanced robot vision and tracking algorithms. By optimizing the robot’s gait control through visual feedback and careful debugging, we achieved a more stable and faster racing performance. These efforts culminated in our winning the first prize in China.
These photos record my preparation and participation in the RoboMaster competition, including University League (Jiangsu Province) and University Championship between 2020-2021.

I am delighted to share that I have been selected for the annual feature in the “Student Story” series at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). I am honored to receive this distinction, which is awarded to only one undergraduate student from each school every year.
In a press release on the XJTLU website, Hang Yuan (me), an undergraduate at XJTLU, came across a photo of his roommate Haoran Wu serving as an epidemic prevention volunteer on social media. Inspired by the image, Hang decided to create a painting overnight titled “Bai Yi Zhi Jia,” capturing the essence of the moment and paying tribute to the dedicated healthcare workers.
